Okay to be honest there is a whole lot of topics you could consider to be a online business model. This short list does not even touch on the magnitude of opportunities online that you can turn into a business of your own. This list does name some of the most used online business models in the marketplace today.
The Marketing Model
Let us now take a look at two of the many different types of marketing models online. It is my opinion that the two most widely used marketing models are affiliate marketing and network marketing. So I will break down briefly the definition and a short description of each.
Let us check out affiliate marketing first. The definition of affiliate marketing on wikipedea for affiliate marketing is as follows… Affiliate marketing is a marketing arrangement in which affiliates receive a commission for each visit, sign-up, or sale they generate for a merchant. This allows businesses to outsource part of the sales process.
Just to be sure you know, an affiliate is a person like you or me that has joined with a company or merchant like Amazon, Walmart, or Target to promote the sale of their products. Most merchants have a affiliate program that is free to join.
If you visit the companies website and scroll to the bottom you will see a link to join their affiliate program. The link will be in a list of links like the contact us, privacy policy, and terms of service. Becoming an affiliate is a super easy process and it is usually free.
If for any reason you can not locate the affiliate program link, click on the contact us link and describe what you are trying to do. A member of the companies customer care service will be sure to get back to you. Once you fill out the necessary forms you will receive a link that is coded specially for you to use for promoting their products or services.
You can send people to that special link in any way you see fit. Once visitors to your website or however people see your link click on it and go on to buy a product you will be credited with providing the customer. Depending on the product and the merchant you will then be paid a percentage of the sale as a commission.
Affiliate marketing is super cool and unique because you are able to earn money 24 hours a day 7 days a week, even while you are sleeping. You are not required to talk to anyone if you choose not to. You do not need to be responsible for shipping or storage of the products or services. And best yet, you really do not need to work to sell the products. The affiliate link usually has its own advertisement and sales pitch that is built in by the merchant.
The amount of money being spent through affiliate links in 2022 was just over 8 billion us dollars. All over the world people are buying more and more of their needed items online. There is no shortage of need for affiliate marketers in the online marketplace.
Network Marketing
Network marketing is the next online business model I will go over in this article. The definition of network marketing is a controversial marketing strategy for the sale of products or services that generates sales through a pyramid-shaped or binary form of teamwork by the affiliates associated with the merchant.
Another term used for network marketing is multi-level marketing, or pyramid selling. The revenue generated for the commission system is also done in a binary sort of way. The compensation plan usually pays out to the participants from two revenue streams.
The first pay-out comes from the direct sale of the product or service. The second pay-out is commissions based upon the wholesale purchases made by other sellers whom the original participant has recruited to also sell the products or service.
Recruited participants( as well as those the recruit recruits), then become the original participants downline distributers. In this model the original seller will essentially receive his or her full commission along with a small percentage from all sellers in his or her downline distribution network.
This model is used widely in the online marketing platform but, is not legal in a lot of countries. I am sure you have heard of pyramid systems that are set up in a controversial manner before.
The affiliate marketing model is more widely used and accepted by everyone. I personally do not mind either method of these types of marketing. They both have a distinct function depending on the merchant and the product or service that is being sold.
I use a few aspects of many separate marketing models on this website. It simplifies the experience for you and also gives you the option to earn a commission where if you just purchased something I recommended you would not earn a commission or be able to resell that product.
As the way I have it set up, you are offered in any product or service I am able to, to become a reseller and become part of a team of sellers that earn commissions as well as utilize the product and services. I set it up so you become the original seller and everyone you refer to the product becomes a member of your team and downline.
Along with that I do extensive research on every product or service that I promote. In almost all cases I am a satisfied customer and use the product or service as well. There is no better way to know if a product is worth-while and truly does what it advertises than to use it yourself.
I am in business as a consultant more than anything. My objective is to help you make an educated and positive choice that is the best value, and correct product or service for your home based business. That is the reason I review as many products for owning a online business as I possibly can. I give an unbiased review.
If a product or service is not good I will explain what has made me have that opinion. I list all pros and cons as I see them and compare that to what the product or service claims to provide. That being said I only will fully advertise those services and products I am certain give you the best value and quality on the online marketplace.
